The Waxahachie Men's and Women's Golf Team had an incredible experience at the Antigua National High School Golf Invitational in Chandler, Arizona. The Women's team shot 377 the first day and 369 the second day. The Lady Indians were led by senior Ana Herrin who shot 87 and 91. Marisabel Garza shot 94-91, Baylie Paris had a 98-93, Kayli Nash shot 98-94, and Vanessa Garza had a 112-108. Allison Heflin playing as a medalist shot 118-105. The Men's team finished day 1 with a 325 and 332 the second day. The Indians were led by Jake Reames 69/78 (147), Grant Armstrong 77/87 (164), Nic Simmel 90/83 (173), Michael Davis 89/84 (173), Jackson Bell 101/89 (190) and Garrett Roux 100/93 (193). There were teams from Arizona, Hawaii, California, Illinois, Florida, Ohio, Texas, Wyoming and Washington. It was a fantastic course and a lifetime experience for our golfers. The girls next tournament will be at Granbury Harbor Lakes on September 20-21 and the boys will play at Fossil Creek on September 27th and The Resort on September 28th.
