David Cox is the Track and Field coach at Waxahachie High School. He also teaches Anatomy & Physiology and Medical Microbiology. He attended Red Oak High School in Red Oak, Texas, and went on to obtain his B.S. in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He began in coaching career in 1993, and began coaching in WISD in 2002. Coach Cox has qualified an athlete for the state track meet in every jumping event. He has had athletes win a state championship in the triple jump and long jump events.
